The image to the right is of the island Madagascar and shows the population density throughout the country. Madagascar's most populated area's would be its mid-western region. This is mostly because Madagascar is considered a wildlife country and all of the animals live along the eastern coast. It can also go along with the climate of Madagascar, the deserts and Savanna of this country are located all throughout the eastern middle region as well, so it is not a fit living environment for people in that are. The main reason is because of agricultural benefits.
The population pyramid of Madagascar shown below indicates that the age structure of Madagascar is poor. The lower the age of the citizen of the country, the more populated the age group is. There haven't necessarily been any "baby booms" in this countries history but it is obviously that these people haven't experienced much family planning. Nor have they experienced very advanced healthcare, meaning the older, more unhealthy people do not have the correct technologies to keep alive. The population growth rate is slow but always progressing, may be even leading to an overpopulation. All of these signs point to the lowest stage of development for a country.
Population Situation
As shown in the image to the side, Madagascar has increased women literacy, and this indicated to have a decrease in population growth rate in some regions of the country. (Mostly the center.) This might have something to do with the status of the women in Madagascar becoming more informed and important. That is just one example of how the population situation in Madagascar can affect People and Population. The people and population of Madagascar can be affected by situations such as the customs in Madagascar. Normally the customs or religions in a country are used to influence a person to believe in family planning or things like that, but the "Traditional" religion that the majority of Madagascar's people abide by doesn't affect such beliefs. Therefore, this can be an influence for the Population Growth in Madagascar.
